Developing
A Perfect Playing Strategy
by Tony R. Frank
That infallible gambling method, that will make everyone a winner every time,
doesn't exist, so stop searching. To understand why there can be no universal
system that works the same for everyone, ponder these questions: What are your
expectations? What are you hoping to get out of gambling? Looking for a diversion
and a good time, or do you desperately need to win?
What is you risk tolerance? Does the thought of making a single $100 bet make
you sweat, or do you need to play with stacks of $100 chips to get the adrenaline
flowing? Can you risk losing your gambling money and not miss it if you do?
What is your bankroll size? How big is your bankroll and how comfortable are
you about putting it at risk? Would a string of losing bets make you very nervous?
How is your self-control? Can you set win/loss limits in advance and stick to
your resolution? Or are you inclined to change your mind, depending on how things
go?
These are just some of the many questions to ask yourself. As you think about
them you will understand why there are so many variables that can affect a persons
success or failure in the casino.
Before you do any serious gambling you should formulate a realistic plan that
seems right for you. There is plenty of good advice available on the Web, much
of it for free. (Start by checking out www.letstalkwinning.com). Adapt the strategies
that appeal to you and practice them before you risk any substantial amount.
Soon you will have developed your own, personal system, a plan that works well
for you. Good Luck!
